Wine Tasting: A tour of Lazio from Montefiascone to Castelli Romani
Lazio is one of those 'secret' wine producing regions that is right in front of people--it's the area surrounding Rome, stretching from Viterbo and Montefiascone in the North to the Castelli Romani south of Rome--but somehow manages to pass unnoticed. Frascati is the town and wine most people have heard of, but the region produces many very good wines from indigenous grape varieties. I discovered some great Lazio wines years ago, and we stocked up on a few during a trip to Rome and Lazio in May.
As usual, this tasting will feature 8-9 wines (a mix of whites and reds) ranging from the good to the great and including the famous Est! Est!! Est!!! They will be paired with plenty of good Italian food.
The tasting costs 35 euros and is limited to the first 13 people who register via Eventbrite.
We'd be delighted if you could take part!

P.S. The address for the tasting comes in the registration confirmation email. It is easily accessible via public transport using the Tram #8 (former #94) and Bus #366 lines. If you drive, there is generally plenty of free parking available nearby. Please drink and drive responsibly!
